Message From The Founder & President of SSV

‘Society For Social Vision’–SSV is a young organization which has been started with developing the parts to develop the whole. Even though young, SSV is an organization which is focused and committed in its activities and shares with others its experiences, findings and aspirations.

True to the name ‘Society For Social Vision’, our NGO has a social vision which is genuine and path breaking. The broad spectrum of our activities and their success rate within a short span of time speak about the dedicated work done by ‘Society For Social Vision’.

We endeavor in a humble way to reach underprivileged and needy children and give them an encouraging new lease of life. Through development, relief and advocacy, we strive to create lasting change in the lives of children. My experience over the years has shown that if we limit our programmes and investment to just directly impact the child, the change will not be sustainable. For sustaining the well-being of children, we need to equip the families and communities socio-economically; hence, our approach to child well-being is community-based and involves multiple programmes. Our investment in children, their families and communities are often in areas such as economic development, education, health and leadership development, against abuse, & so on. SSV works closely with community-based organisations, government, other NGOs, and civil societies.

The focus of ‘Society For Social Vision’ is not just limited to children. We provide support to needy women; offer them vocational skills training to enable them to lead lives of financial independence and self esteem, help in women’s health issues and so on. Increasing awareness and fighting violence against women is among ‘Society For Social Vision’s’ priorities.

There are older people today than ever before and their number is on the increase. 73% of the 60+ age group in India are illiterate with a little access to any basic educational means. There is an urgent need to provide older people with the means to lead a full life where they are provided with medical care and nursing. They need to have access to information, entertainment and the right to make their own choices. Older people need to be able to lead a full life with dignity. ‘Society For Social Vision’ is committed in working for the welfare and empowerment of older persons.

‘Society For Social Vision’ aim to empower youth, nurture innate talents and develop their skills to enable them to fulfill their potential and prosper in their communities and in the world at large. At the ground level, ‘Society For Social Vision’ has taken initiatives to provide opportunities for capacity building to youths; to keep pace with technical and professional demands of emerging times. Yet more still needs to be done and we are on the path to empower the youth in our society. I have always held the belief that through entrepreneurship, innovation and grassroots efforts, our young people can transform this country and our state. Whether rich or poor, the next generation has the power to change this world for the better.

We further work towards the integration of people with disabilities into mainstream society. Our ‘Society For Social Vision’ work towards preventing disability; To focus attention on their career development and helping them to get placed in jobs making them financially independent; To assist in any other activities for empowerment of mentally and physically challenged.

Our NGO-SSV has the vision to providing quality health care to the people; To educate people about health awareness, prevention of sickness and all such other activities for the purpose of promotion of true state of health.

‘Society For Social Vision’ aims to work towards development of nature and environment; To create awareness about nature and its preservation; To develop a healthy human nature coordination; To work towards development of ecological system, prevent abuse of nature and prevent cruelty against animal/s, bird/s and other living beings; To stimulate optimal and harmonious use of natural resources, recycling etc.

Our NGO assist to work towards development and integration of people living in a far remote and underdeveloped area/s, village/s, tribe/s etc; Acting as a watchdog against human rights violations; Providing support to farmer agriculture and fisheries; Promoting efforts to reduce poverty and unemployment; Initiate activities for accident prevention and rescue initiative; Dealing with humanitarian emergencies, whether natural or manmade; promote the rights and interests of the consumers; To work towards development of science, art, craft, culture, handicrafts and traditional industries, literature, music, games and sports and other means of expression; Protection of antique and archaeological collections; and other related activities.

SSV endeavors to achieve its mission and vision by developing a strong management structure, gradually putting in place its process and procedure to mobilize the community to support its projects and campaigns.,

‘Society For Social Vision’ seeks to learn from and co-operate with others for continuous improvement to serve the community better. Carrying out various activities, our organization co-operates with the government, local governmental bodies, local and international organizations, foundations, mass media and the private sector. ‘Society For Social Vision’ continue to look for new partners and allies to collaborate with, including UN, organizations within employers groups, employee organizations, rehabilitation organizations and other international agencies, medical professionals, rehabilitation professionals, architects, policy makers, researchers and others.
